[Financial News] The Navy announced that it will hold the '2025 Republic of Korea Navy Fleet Review' from November 25 to 27 for three days at the Busan Operational Base and nearby seas, marking the sixth event in Navy history.
On the 31st, the Navy stated that this fleet review is a type of maritime parade inspecting the combat readiness of warships and the discipline of soldiers, specially prepared to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Navy's founding.
The head of the Fleet Review Planning Group, Brigadier General Kim Dong-rae, said, "This fleet review will be a festival with the public and an opportunity to showcase the status of the maritime power Republic of Korea to the world."
The fleet review will feature the full deployment of advanced forces, including surface ships, submarines, aircraft, and unmanned forces operated by our Navy. The Navy plans to showcase the excellence of K-maritime defense to domestic and international audiences by deploying about 30 ships, including Aegis destroyers, and about 20 aircraft, including maritime patrol aircraft and maritime operation helicopters.
During the fleet review period, the Busan Operational Base will host open base and ship tours, allowing visitors to explore the base and ships. Various programs such as promotion and experience zones, performance zones, and exhibitions of weapon systems and military uniforms will also be operated.
The Navy is also recruiting about 1,000 participants for public participation in this event. Selected participants will board the 'Marado (large transport ship, 14,500-ton class)' and 'Nojeokbong (landing ship, 4,900-ton class)' to directly inspect the latest Aegis destroyers and submarines and experience anti-submarine operations and maritime firepower demonstrations on-site.
