[Financial News] A woman in her 40s illegally entered the parking lot of BTS member Jungkook's home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and was caught by the police. This incident is another case of home invasion that occurred just three months after Jungkook's discharge, bringing the excessive interest surrounding the global star back into the spotlight.
On the 31st, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a Korean national woman, Ms. A, as a red-handed offender on charges of home invasion after she entered the parking lot of Jungkook's house at around 11:20 p.m. the previous night. The police are investigating the circumstances under which Ms. A entered the parking lot.
This is not the first time someone has visited Jungkook's house without permission. On June 11th, the day of Jungkook's military discharge, a Chinese woman in her 30s, Ms. B, was arrested by the police after repeatedly entering the password to his home's front door. Ms. B testified that she came to Korea to see Jungkook after his discharge and was sent to the prosecution without detention on the 27th.
Jungkook enlisted last December along with fellow group member Jimin and served in the artillery brigade of the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do, and was discharged in June.
The excessive approaches of extreme fans towards BTS members have continued to cause problems. In Jin's case, a Japanese woman in her 50s unexpectedly kissed him during a fan event held right after his discharge last year, leading to a police investigation.
Jungkook also experienced an incident where 8.4 billion won worth of HYBE stocks were stolen by a Chinese hacking organization while he was serving in the military. The head of the organization was caught in Thailand and sent to the prosecution on the 29th.
