[Financial News] Renault Korea's new CEO Nicolas Paris will take office on September 1, Renault Korea announced on the 31st.
Nicolas Paris, who has been in charge of key tasks related to new car development, chassis and platform, electrification, and advanced technology purchases in overseas markets at Renault Group, has been recognized for contributing to the group's technological innovation and transition to electric vehicles. With the appointment of Paris as CEO, expectations are rising that Renault Korea's future eco-friendly new car development will gain momentum.
Paris obtained a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering and graduated from Reims Management School in France, and joined Renault Group in 2015 after working at global auto parts company ZF (ZF Lenksysteme).
Paris has held key positions in new car development, chassis and platform, electrification, and advanced technology purchases in overseas markets at Renault Group.
In particular, he was deeply involved in the development of advanced technologies in electrification, autonomous driving, and connectivity fields as the head of purchasing at the Innovation Lab (Alliance Innovation Lab) located in Shanghai, China, for about three years from 2019.
Based on this experience, Paris has contributed to Renault Group's technological innovation and transition to electric vehicles as the vice president in charge of battery, E-powertrain, software, and electronic components purchases from 2023 to recently.
Renault Korea stated, "With a rich partnership experience in core advanced technologies and global market experience in countries such as India and China, we expect the new CEO Paris to demonstrate excellent leadership in the company's future eco-friendly new car development roadmap."
Meanwhile, former Renault Korea CEO Stephane Deblaise will move to the position of Renault Group's India General Manager from September 1.
