According to News1 on the 31st, around 12:25 PM the previous day, Mr. A fell into the water at Hajodae Beach in Hyungbuk-myeon, Yangyang-gun.
The Coast Guard understands that Mr. A was swept away by the waves while delivering a life jacket to a man who was calling for help.
Although a safety officer on site quickly rushed to pull Mr. A out, and CPR was continued while being transported to the hospital, he ultimately did not regain consciousness.
The man who received the life jacket from Mr. A swam out on his own and survived.
It was confirmed that the two were not companions.
