[Financial News]  A Chinese woman who attempted to intrude into the home of BTS member Jungkook has been handed over to the prosecution.
On the 31st, according to Yonhap News, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul sent a 30s Chinese woman, Ms. A, to the prosecution without detention on charges of attempted housebreaking on the 27th.
Ms. A is accused of visiting Jungkook's home in Yongsan District around 11:20 PM on June 11, when BTS Jungkook was discharged, and attempting to enter by pressing the door code multiple times.
The police, who were dispatched after receiving a report, arrested Ms. A on the spot.
It was identified that Ms. A is not a resident of Korea and stated she came to see Jungkook after his discharge.
Jungkook, who enlisted with Jimin from the same group in December 2023, served for 1 year and 6 months in the 5th Infantry Division Artillery Brigade in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, before being discharged.
This is not the first time that the intense international interest in BTS has manifested in an inappropriate way.
In Jin's case, he was suddenly kissed on the cheek by a 50s Japanese woman during a 'hug event' with fans held right after his discharge in June last year.
The police, who received a report from a netizen, sent this Japanese woman to the prosecution in May on charges of sexual harassment in a public place under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.
In Jungkook's case, during his military service, he was targeted by a hacking organization led by a Chinese national head, and 8.4 billion won worth of HYBE shares were stolen, but actual damage was avoided due to payment suspension measures.
The head, Mr. Jeon (35), who was caught in Thailand and extradited to Korea, was handed over to the prosecution on the 29th.
