[Financial News] IEL's subsidiary and smart mobility solutions specialist Itronics has been officially registered as an After-Blow supplier partner of Hyundai Mobis, it announced on the 27th. This registration marks a significant foothold in expanding the global electronic component supply chain.
After-Blow is a device that operates the air conditioning system for a certain period after the vehicle is turned off to remove internal moisture, suppressing the growth of mold and bacteria. It functions to improve air quality and hygiene inside vehicles, and its importance is increasing with the growing demand for hygiene and safety and the expansion of eco-friendly vehicles.
According to market research firm Fortune Business Insights, the global vehicle air quality improvement solutions market is expected to grow from 2.4975 trillion won in 2020 to 6.5745 trillion won by 2028, with an average annual growth rate of 14.1%. In particular, due to the nature of electric vehicle batteries, moisture management is crucial, and the adoption rate of After-Blow is expected to increase rapidly.
Itronics plans to expand its supply to global automaker clients, having secured technological reliability with this partnership registration. Additionally, it aims to accelerate the diversification of its business portfolio through the advancement of autonomous driving-related electronic component technology, beyond vehicle hygiene and comfort management solutions.
An Itronics representative stated, "The registration as a Hyundai Mobis partner is a case where our technology has been officially recognized in the global first-tier supplier network," adding, "We expect this to contribute to sales and increase corporate value in the medium to long term. We will continue to strengthen our innovative competitiveness in the future vehicle electronic component market."
