[Financial News] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 27th that it will hold the '2025 SME AI Transformation Best Practices Contest' to promote the AI transformation of SMEs and small business owners.
SMEs that have achieved management innovation results such as productivity improvement and sales increase through AI adoption can check the jurisdiction of the 13 regional SME and Startup Agencies and apply to the respective regional office.
The application period is from the 28th to September 18th.
The preliminary round will be held from September 19th to 30th. The regional offices will evaluate the fidelity, innovation, adoption results, and expansion and sustainability of the best practices through document review. The finals will be held from October 13th to 31st, with 3 companies recommended from first-tier regional offices and 2 from second-tier regional offices.
In the final evaluation, one grand prize, three excellence awards, and six merit awards will be selected through presentation evaluation. The award ceremony and presentation of best practices will be held in November.
Selected companies will be given additional points when participating in R&D support projects, in addition to receiving the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award and the Chairman of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency Award. They will also be included in the best practices collection to provide benchmarking opportunities for companies hesitant to adopt AI.
