Introduction of Energy Saving Technology Based on Personal Usage Patterns
[Financial News] Samsung Electronics announced on the 27th that it will participate in the 'Climate Industry International Expo (WCE) 2025' held at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu, Busan until the 29th, showcasing various energy technologies for the future climate.
The 'Climate Industry International Expo', co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the International Energy Agency (IEA), and the World Bank (WB), is held under the theme of 'Energy for AI & AI for Energy' this year.
Samsung Electronics is exhibiting energy-saving themes through AI technology, including △AI Saving Mode △Integrated Monitoring and Management △Personalization △Building Energy Management Solutions.
In particular, Samsung Electronics emphasizes the importance of climate change and energy technology to visitors by installing a large LED facade at the entrance center of the exhibition space and screening videos that visually express the flow of climate change.
In the 'Energy Saving' zone connected to the LED facade, the current energy usage and monthly predicted usage of major products such as refrigerators, air conditioners, washer-dryers, and TVs can be checked at a glance on the screen placed together. Additionally, you can experience technology that easily and conveniently saves energy by up to 60% using SmartThings' AI Saving Mode.
In the 'AI Saving Mode' zone implemented as a living room space, you can see the use of AI Saving Mode without the inconvenience of connecting each device, such as the Bespoke AI Wind-Free Combo System Air Conditioner, Neo QLED TV, and Bespoke AI Air Dresser, all at once.
In particular, after connecting to SmartThings, you can set automated routines tailored to personal life, such as sleep and wake-up, to control devices according to various conditions such as specific times or days of the week.
In the 'Integrated Monitoring' zone designed as a kitchen space, you can check energy usage in real-time anytime, anywhere inside and outside the house, and monitor energy usage not only on mobile devices but also on all products equipped with screens, such as refrigerators, washer-dryers, and moving styles.
In personal spaces like bedrooms, you can see energy-saving based on sleep patterns by analyzing data collected by wearable devices such as Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring.
You can also experience processes such as lights and TVs turning off during sleep, the air conditioner switching to wind-free mode, and curtains opening and lights turning on when waking up.
In the 'b.IoT' zone, a building energy management solution, you can see the process of saving up to 15% of energy through automation by grasping the building's air conditioning situation at a glance.
A Samsung Electronics representative said, "Samsung Electronics has been showcasing various energy-saving innovations for the future climate," and "we will continue to strive for energy savings as well as consumer convenience and benefits by utilizing AI products and services."
