[Financial News]  The Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (Kedeheon) is gaining global popularity, and the statue of Priest Kim Dae-geon established in the Vatican is becoming a hot topic online as it resembles the idol character in the movie. 

On the 25th (local time), the American online community Reddit posted photos commemorating the establishment of Priest Kim Dae-geon's statue in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican in September 2023, titled 'Vatican Saja Boys'. Priest Kim Dae-geon is the first Catholic priest in Korea and the first Asian to have a statue erected in St. Peter's Basilica.

Below the photo, the lyrics of the song 'Your Idol' by the male idol group Saja Boys, composed of five members from 'Kedeheon', are written. 

Subsequently, posts introducing the Reddit post with titles like 'Priest Kim Dae-geon Becomes Saja Boys', 'Vatican Embarrassed by Kedeheon Popularity' appeared on online communities. 

Various reactions from domestic and international Kedeheon fans who saw the post on Reddit and online communities emerged.

Netizens commented, "Even the Pope couldn't deny their influence", "As a Catholic, I smiled seeing the statue of Korea's patron saint Kim Dae-geon Andrea. It's great that it became a meme" or "He is a Korean Catholic saint. In the world of Demon Hunters, he might have trained hunters who existed in 19th century Korea" and other curious comments were posted.

Comments pointing out that connecting Saja Boys just because of the hat was unreasonable also drew attention.

Reactions like "'Saja' is right, but it's a shame" or "Foreigners, that's not it for a moment", "Is it a Grim Reaper just because they wear a hanbok and a hat?", "You do know it's just Korean traditional clothing and a hat, right?" were also posted.
