[Financial News] An accident occurred in front of an apartment complex in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, where a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and died.
According to the Seodaemun Police Station, at around 8:20 PM on the 25th, a sedan driven by Mr. A (in his 40s) hit Ms. B (a woman in her 70s) who was crossing the road in front of an apartment in Bukgajwa-dong. Ms. B was immediately taken to the hospital but eventually died.
At the time of the accident, Mr. A was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and in a police investigation, he stated, "(My view was obstructed) and I couldn't see ahead." It is known that Mr. A was not injured in the accident.
The police have booked Mr. A on charges of violating the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling (causing death) and plan to send the case to the prosecution after completing the investigation.
