Transportation Vulnerable on 1st-2nd, All Citizens on 3rd-4th Reservations

[Financial News] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 25th that Chuseok holiday ticket reservations will be conducted from September 1 to 4 for four days.
This reservation applies to trains operating from October 2 to 12 for 11 days. Reservations can be made on the 'Holiday Reservation Dedicated Page' of the KORAIL website, and all reservations are conducted non-face-to-face and are only available to railroad members.
First, to consider the transportation vulnerable, advance reservations will be prioritized for △ seniors aged 65 and over △ registered disabled persons according to the Disability Welfare Act △ national merit recipients (transportation support targets) for two days on September 1 and 2 from 9 AM to 3 PM. If you are not familiar with using the internet, you can make reservations by phone at the railroad customer center.
Advance reservations are only possible when the transportation vulnerable, including themselves, use the train, and the name of the transportation vulnerable customer is displayed on the ticket. If used fraudulently, such as when the transportation vulnerable person does not board, participation in the next holiday ticket transportation vulnerable advance reservation will not be possible.
On September 3 and 4, from 7 AM to 1 PM, all citizens, including seniors, disabled persons, and national merit recipients (transportation support targets), can make online reservations for Chuseok tickets.
Ticket payment is available from 5 PM on September 4. Advance reservation tickets for the transportation vulnerable must be paid by midnight on the 10th, and general reservation tickets must be paid by midnight on the 7th. Tickets not paid by the deadline will be automatically canceled and assigned to waitlist applicants.
Transportation vulnerable individuals who find online payment difficult can use phone payment at the railroad customer center or visit the station counter to make payments. Tickets paid by phone must be issued at any station counter nationwide after ID verification before using the train.
Additionally, KORAIL is conducting a 'Chuseok Ticket Reservation Payback/Discount Event' with seven payment companies to reduce holiday transportation costs for railroad customers.
Among customers who purchase Chuseok train tickets with the designated payment method and complete train use, 55,000 people will be selected by lottery to receive a total of 170 million won worth of payback and discount benefits.
Lee Min-seong, Head of Customer Marketing Division, said, "As many people are taking trains during the long holiday, we will thoroughly prepare for holiday ticket reservations" and "We will do our best to ensure a safe and comfortable journey home."
