Garmin announced on the 25th that it has unveiled a new campaign 'Summit of My Life' with Garmin ambassador and Korea's top trail runner Kim Ji-seob.
This campaign is a project that closely records the training journey of Kim Ji-seob, who is preparing to participate in the world-renowned trail running competition Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB), with an accumulated altitude of 8848m, equivalent to the height of Mount Everest. UTMB is the world's largest trail running competition held annually at the end of this month in Chamonix, France, and is an ultra-long mountain race running approximately 170km connecting the European Alps.
Through this campaign, Garmin systematically highlights the training process of Kim Ji-seob, who aims to complete the UTMB, and shows that Garmin products played an important role in his training and record management.
In particular, Garmin supported various innovative products to allow Kim Ji-seob to precisely adjust training intensity and scientifically analyze physical data and performance. Garmin's GPS running smartwatch 'Forerunner 970' helped control training intensity by recording and analyzing key indicators such as altitude and pace. The heart rate monitor 'HRM 600' supported posture improvement and recovery management by providing accurate heart rate and running dynamics data. The indoor training equipment 'Tacx Neo Bike Smart Trainer' was used for muscle endurance training.
Nelson Chen, head of Garmin Korea, said, "This campaign shows how smart wearable devices and data-driven training expand the limits of athletes," adding, "Garmin will continue to support all users to move towards their own 'summit' more safely and efficiently."
