[Financial News] Hyundai Construction has unveiled the blueprint for the 'Apgujeong 100-Year City' ahead of the reconstruction of Apgujeong District 2.
Hyundai Construction announced on the 25th through the bid proposal 'OWN THE 100' that it aims to inherit the heritage of Apgujeong Hyundai Apartments and realize a 'city within a city' with 2571 households. Hyundai Construction plans to use this reconstruction as an opportunity to create a new residential culture, rather than just building apartments.
To achieve this, they proposed five major visions: △ Landmark Design △ Forest Landscaping Embracing Hangang Park △ All-in-One Community △ Convenient Services and Smart Daily Life △ A City, Not Just Apartments.
The complex will be built with 14 buildings ranging from 5 basement floors to 65 above-ground floors, with all units arranged to offer views of the Hangang River. A green space will connect the central park and Hangang Park, creating a beautiful residential environment throughout the seasons, and the largest community facilities in reconstruction history, including a fitness center, swimming pool, golf practice range, and performance hall, will be established.
Residents will receive customized premium services such as valet parking and housekeeping through hotel-style concierge services. Additionally, Hyundai Motor Group's robotics technology will be integrated to enhance daily life with unmanned delivery and parking support.
Hyundai Construction has also proposed a residential paradigm of 'a city, not just an apartment' for Apgujeong District 2. A passage directly connecting Subway Line 3 Apgujeong Station and Hyundai Department Store will be created to implement a one-stop living area encompassing transportation, education, shopping, and culture.
The reconstruction of Apgujeong District 2 is a mega-project with construction costs alone amounting to 2.7 trillion won, and it is being pursued the fastest among the six special planning districts in Apgujeong. Hyundai Construction has made a solo bid for the Apgujeong District 2 reconstruction project and has been designated as the preferred negotiation partner, with the construction company selection meeting scheduled for September 27.
A Hyundai Construction official stated, "We have included our determination to continue the lives and pride of the members and the value of Apgujeong District 2 in the proposal," adding, "With the responsibility that made Apgujeong a symbol of luxury residential culture, we will complete a new 100-year city that the world will notice."
