This construction is part of the Dangjin LNG production base project in Chungnam. It will be carried out in Tongjeong-ri, Seokmun-myeon, Dangjin-si. Construction is scheduled to start in September this year and be completed in December 2029.
Through this second phase contract, Doosan Enerbility will carry out the construction of a total of seven storage tanks in the Dangjin LNG production base project in Chungnam. Doosan Enerbility was selected as the contractor for the first phase (units 1 to 4) in 2021 and is currently carrying out the construction. The first phase construction is currently proceeding with internal work after completing the roof raising for all four units.
Previously, Doosan Enerbility has also carried out LNG storage tank construction projects at the Incheon base, Pyeongtaek base, and Samcheok base.
Lee Hyun-ho, Plant EPC BG of Doosan Enerbility, said, “The experience of successfully carrying out numerous LNG storage tank projects in the domestic market was crucial in winning the contract,” and added, “We will faithfully carry out the second phase project along with the first phase in Dangjin to contribute to enhancing the stability of domestic natural gas supply.”
The Dangjin LNG storage tank construction is part of the LNG production base project being promoted at the Seokmun National Industrial Complex site in Dangjin, Chungnam, to enhance the stability of domestic LNG supply.
