"There's a strong stench from next door" Police respond to report, find body of man in his 50s

[Financial News] A man in his 50s was found dead in a house in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and the police are investigating.
Seoul Jongno Police Station announced on the 25th that Mr. A, a man in his 50s, was found dead in a house in Haengchon-dong, Jongno-gu, around 4:04 PM on the 23rd.
The police responded to a resident's report who found it strange that there was a strong stench and flies swarming around Mr. A's residence.
Mr. A had not been seen by neighbors for over ten days and is believed to have been discovered several days after his death.
It is reported that Mr. A was unemployed and living alone as a basic livelihood recipient.
He was known to frequently purchase alcohol from a nearby convenience store even after undergoing surgery for a chronic illness.
The police determined there were no criminal peculiarities. An autopsy is not planned.
