[Financial News] The police are considering a psychopath test for a man in his 30s who fled after killing a woman in her 30s in an officetel parking lot in Yongin City.
According to the police on the 25th, they are considering holding a public disclosure committee and a psychopath test, taking into account the seriousness of the crime of Mr. A, who was arrested the previous day for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (retaliatory murder, etc.).
Previously, Judge Oh Chang-min of the Suwon District Court (duty judge) held a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant review) the day before and issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A.
Judge Oh stated the reason for issuing the warrant as "there is a risk of flight."
Mr. A is accused of stabbing to death a 30-year-old woman of Chinese nationality, Ms. B, who was an acquaintance, multiple times with a prepared weapon in the underground parking lot of an officetel in Suji-gu, Yongin City, around 2:40 to 2:50 a.m. on the 21st.
Immediately after the crime, Mr. A used a vehicle (rental car) to move to Hongcheon County, Gangwon Province, and abandoned the car in front of a school around 4 a.m. on the same day and fled into the mountains.
The police, after a search with a scent-detecting dog, found and arrested Mr. A around 8:48 a.m. on the 22nd, about 2 km away from the vehicle's discovery point, 30 hours after the incident occurred.
It was found that Mr. A was a customer at the store where Ms. B worked, and after Ms. B reported "being victimized by Mr. A" in May, he planned to kill Ms. B in retaliation and committed the crime.
Mr. A, while leaving the Yongin Dongbu Police Station detention center at around 1:40 p.m. to attend the warrant review scheduled for 3 p.m., only replied "I'm sorry" to reporters' questions such as "Do you have anything to say to the victim?" and "Do you admit the charges?"
