[Financial News] Oh Se-hoon, the Mayor of Seoul, visited the 'Youth Safe Housing Tenant Protection Weekend On-site Consultation Center' operating at Jamsil Central Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 24th to inspect the auction proceedings.
Mayor Oh listened to the detailed demands of tenants along with the smooth operation of the consultation center to alleviate the anxiety of tenants caused by the recent auction proceedings of Youth Safe Housing.
The Seoul City is operating 'Weekend On-site Consultation Centers' at Jamsil Central Park and Sadang COVE from 10 AM to 5 PM to prevent damages to youths living in Youth Safe Housing. Experts such as the head of the SH Youth Housing Safety Center, auction specialists, and related lawyers are providing customized support, including guidance on damage reporting procedures, legal consultation, and on-site response for securing safe deposits.
Consultations are being conducted on weekends following Mayor Oh's instructions. Due to the weekend operation of the consultation center, on the 23rd, 20 out of 134 households in Jamsil and 12 out of 85 households in Sadang received consultations.
Mayor Oh, who visited the site, directly identified the detailed demands regarding the deposit issues, return procedures, and timing, which are the most concerning for young tenants. Mayor Oh emphasized, "Support systematic consultations so that tenants can be fully reassured and ensure that no further damage occurs to tenants," and "As young people are working during the weekdays, sufficient consultations should be conducted on weekends."
He continued, "Seoul City should take the lead in seeking solutions to the problem," and "As the circumstances of tenants differ, such as priority and subordination, customized consultations should be provided to alleviate anxiety and ensure peace of mind."
At the consultation site, he urged Choi Jin-seok, the Director of the Seoul Housing Bureau, and other officials to "ensure that the measures prepared by Seoul City proceed without any setbacks so that no household suffers damage."
To solve the deposit issues of Youth Safe Housing this time, support measures tailored to individual conditions such as priority and subordination are being prepared. Seoul City stated, "We are actively communicating on-site to alleviate the anxiety of tenants," and "The Youth Safe Housing Tenant On-site Consultation Center will be operated next weekend as well, considering the busy daily lives of young people."
