[Financial News] CJ Logistics has declared its leap to becoming a global tech logistics company. Shin Young-soo, CEO of CJ Logistics, emphasized, "The company is currently at a critical juncture for evolving into a global tech company," and "Let's transform into a top 10 global logistics company by 2030, the 100th anniversary of our founding, by actively transferring proven innovative technologies from Korea to overseas."
CJ Logistics announced on the 24th that it held the 2025 first half town hall meeting at its headquarters in Jongno, Seoul on the 22nd. The event was conducted both online and offline, with CEO Shin and employees attending to review the first half's performance and share strategies for the second half.
CEO Shin stated, "The first half of this year was a period to lay the foundation for achieving second-half results," adding, "We must make a leap based on coldly assessing our performance and our super-gap competitiveness." He further stated that they will transplant the super-gap technology accumulated at the TES Logistics Technology Research Institute globally to maximize customer logistics productivity and secure new growth engines.
The acquisition of future technologies such as logistics automation and artificial intelligence (AI) was also emphasized. He added, "We must enhance the automation rate of processes by implementing CJ Logistics' unique operational data and AI-based real-time decision-making and autonomous operation systems," and "We must quickly secure robot development capabilities to lead the future market."
Strategies for each business division were also presented. The parcel (O-NE) division focused on spreading TES-based optimization and automation technologies, expanding the delivery portfolio, and the contract logistics (CL) division aimed at enhancing customer logistics efficiency through the advancement of productivity control models and supporting the transition of 1PL companies to 3PL. The global business will strengthen contract logistics in strategic countries such as the United States and India and focus on expanding cross-border e-commerce (CBE) encompassing reverse logistics and global distribution centers (GDC).
Performance rewards and organizational culture innovation were also emphasized. CEO Shin stated, "We will create an environment where employees can take on new challenges through immediate performance rewards," and expanded the award system, which was only held at the end of the year, to present the 'Value-up Award' to four organizations and two members who created performance.
At the event, newly appointed Global Division CEO Jonathan Song also stated in his greeting, "To advance as a global 3PL company, we will actively implement strategies to expand overseas networks, strengthen sales capabilities, and enhance efficiency."
