[Financial News] The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 24th that it dispatched a delegation of SME representatives to Hanoi and Ninh Binh Province in Vietnam from the 21st to the 23rd to expand technology exchanges and investment cooperation between Korean and Vietnamese SMEs. 
Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, had an in-depth discussion on the direction of technology and investment cooperation between Korean and Vietnamese SMEs with Nguyen Chi Trung, Deputy Prime Minister, in Hanoi, Vietnam, on the 22nd. Nguyen Thanh Cong, a member of the National Assembly, Nguyen Van Tan, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME), and Choi Young-sam, Ambassador to Vietnam, also attended.
Nguyen Chi Trung, Deputy Prime Minister, served as the Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam from 2016 to 2024. He has been closely cooperating with the Korea Federation of SMEs since 2022 to strengthen cooperation between Korean and Vietnamese SMEs.
On the 21st, Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, and the delegation visited Ninh Binh Province and held a meeting with Truong Quoc Huy, Party Secretary of Ninh Binh Province, and Pham Quang Ngoc, Governor of Ninh Binh Province, to discuss the entry and investment cooperation of Korean SMEs in Ninh Binh Province. They also visited the Yen Bang Industrial Cluster to inspect △transportation and logistics infrastructure △investment environment and tax benefits △labor supply conditions, and confirmed the possibility of entry and investment conditions for Korean SMEs.
The Yen Bang Industrial Cluster is a large-scale industrial complex located about 85km from Hanoi in Ninh Binh Province. Its main advantages include △strategic location close to major economic hubs such as Hanoi and Haiphong △complete infrastructure such as power and wastewater treatment △affordable and abundant labor with an average monthly wage of $180 △tax benefits such as corporate and import tax exemptions, making it a promising investment destination in Vietnam.
The SME delegation met with Nguyen An Tuan, Chairman of the Thanh Cong Group, on the 21st to discuss the possibility of expanding mutual cooperation using the excellent technology of Korean SMEs and the young talents of Vietnam. On the 22nd, they visited Hyundai Thanh Cong, a joint venture between Hyundai Motor and Thanh Cong Group, and Samsung's R&D Center Vietnam to verify manufacturing technology, quality control, and advanced R&D sites, exploring the possibility of future technology exchanges and joint R&D cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation consisted of about 30 representatives from various industries such as machinery, electronics, and automotive parts, hoping to enter the Vietnamese market.
Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, said, "We directly inspected key sites of Korea-Vietnam technology and investment cooperation, such as the Yen Bang Industrial Cluster, Hyundai Thanh Cong, and Samsung R&D Center, and had in-depth discussions on cooperation directions with high-ranking Vietnamese officials such as Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Trung. We hope this visit will lead to practical cooperation projects and entry results."
