The government has been issuing livelihood recovery consumption coupons for over a month, and there are claims among self-employed people that the effect of the consumption coupons is rapidly diminishing. As a result, there are already voices expecting the issuance of the second consumption coupon.
According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 24th, as of the 13th, the number of first-time applicants for the livelihood recovery consumption coupon was 48.93 million. This figure corresponds to 96.7% of the total population eligible for payment (50.607067 million people). Although the deadline for the first application, which started on the 21st of last month, is September 12th, most applications and payments have been completed in less than a month. The total payment amount was 8.8619 trillion won.
After the majority of the population received the consumption coupons and actively used them for about a month, there are claims among self-employed people that the effect of the consumption coupons is not the same as before.

There is also a claim that the effect of the consumption coupons is falling even faster as the vacation and holiday season is effectively over. Self-employed person D said, "Now that the vacation is over and even the holidays are over, it seems the effect of the consumption coupons is also over."
There was also a self-employed person who already expressed expectations for the second issuance of the consumption coupons. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced the second issuance of the consumption coupons from September 22nd to October 31st. It is expected that 100,000 won will be given to 90% of the population, excluding the top 10% of income earners.
