Refrigerator Food Spoils, Elevators Stop... 8-Hour Power Outage in Apartment "Endured by Starting Car"

[Financial News] In the ongoing heatwave with tropical nights, power supply was cut off for over 8 hours in a large apartment complex in Busan. 
According to Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters on the 22nd, power supply was cut off from 7 PM the previous day in an apartment complex with 1500 households in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
The power supply resumed at around 3:30 AM on the 22nd, 8 hours and 30 minutes later, but residents suffered great inconvenience as they could not operate cooling devices during the tropical night.
The blackout was reportedly caused by a malfunction in the power supply equipment.
One resident said, "Due to the blackout, many residents started their cars to sleep as they couldn't operate the air conditioner," adding, "All the food in the refrigerator spoiled, and the elevator didn't work either."
