【Financial News Jeonju=Kang In Reporter】 Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 21st that it has launched activities to eradicate illegal activities and establish a healthy forest use culture, focusing on areas where visitors are concentrated, such as major valleys, famous mountains, and forest recreation areas in the province.
This inspection is conducted in cooperation with the Korea Forest Service and city and county governments, focusing on areas with many visitors, and includes on-site campaigns and guidance.
The inspection targets include △ unauthorized cooking and tent installation outside campsites △ littering △ illegal stall installation △ drinking and disorderly conduct. The guidance activities aim to induce voluntary improvement, and if necessary, joint crackdowns with relevant agencies will be conducted to take legal action.
In particular, unauthorized tent installation outside campsites, not using leashes for pets, loud noise, and other actions that may cause discomfort and safety accidents among visitors are being intensively guided.
A Jeonbuk Province official said, "As the forest is a valuable asset for everyone, a culture of mutual consideration and protection is necessary," and "We ask for active participation so that a healthy forest use culture can be established."
