[Financial News] KOSPI started rising early in the session, supported by institutional net buying.
As of 9:30 a.m. on the 21st, KOSPI is trading at 3158.68, up 28.59p (0.91%) from the previous trading day.
On this day, KOSPI started trading at 3140.71, up 10.62p (0.34%) from the previous day.
In the securities market, institutions are buying 74.8 billion won worth of shares. This is the fifth consecutive trading day of net buying. On the other hand, individuals and foreigners are selling 47 billion won and 27.2 billion won worth of shares, respectively.
The top market capitalization companies are generally on the rise. Samsung Electronics is trading at 71,900 won, up 1.99% from the previous day, and Hyundai Motor and Kia are also up 1.59% and 0.57%, respectively. On the other hand, SK Hynix is showing a decline of around 2%.
By industry, chemicals (2.24%), machinery/equipment (1.96%), and construction (1.88%) are showing upward trends. Transportation/warehousing (-0.17%) is weak.
The KOSDAQ index is trading at 783.53, up 5.92p (0.76%) from the previous day.
