"Could it be again?" KTX Breaks Down During Operation, Passengers Startled

[Financial News] A KTX high-speed train stopped during operation, causing hundreds of passengers to evacuate.

According to KORAIL on the 21st, the Busan-bound No. 63 KTX stopped due to a malfunction while operating between Ohsong Station and Daejeon Station at around 9:04 PM the previous day.

KORAIL moved the KTX to Daejeon Station after emergency measures and transferred the 540 passengers on board to a temporary train.

During this process, a delay of about 25 minutes occurred, but there were no delays in the operation of subsequent trains.

KORAIL plans to send the KTX to a vehicle base to investigate the cause of the malfunction.
