【Financial News Jeonju=Kang In Reporter】 Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province held a meeting with the Jeonbuk Bar Association on the 20th to pledge cooperation for the passage of the 'Partial Amendment to the Act on the Establishment and Jurisdiction of Various Courts (Court Establishment Act)' in the National Assembly to establish the Jeonju Family Court.
Despite the high demand for family and juvenile cases in Jeonbuk, the need to enhance the speed and specialization of case handling has been consistently raised as general courts continue to handle them.
The amendment to the Court Establishment Act is currently on the agenda of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, and it is an issue that the local legal community and residents have long desired.
Jeonbuk Province and the Jeonbuk Bar Association plan to continue discussions to strengthen cooperation with relevant institutions and local political circles so that the amendment to the Court Establishment Act can pass the National Assembly within the year.
Jeonbuk Governor Kim Kwan-young said, "We will closely cooperate with the Jeonbuk Bar Association and local lawmakers to ensure that residents receive high-quality judicial services in family and juvenile cases."
