[Financial News] Tefal announced on the 20th that it delivered kitchenware and 600 home appliances worth 40 million won through the child welfare agency Green Umbrella to help families with children affected by floods in the Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Gyeongnam regions.
Tefal confirmed that flood victims in Gwangju, Muan in Jeonnam, and Changwon in Gyeongnam are living in temporary shelters without essential home appliances, and urgently supported each region with frying pans, electric kettles, and hairdryers.
In April, Tefal also delivered over 500 cordless vacuum cleaners worth 160 million won to child care facilities and community centers in Andong, Yeongdeok, Yeongyang, Uiseong, and Cheongsong in Gyeongbuk for children affected by wildfires. This is part of ongoing disaster relief efforts, including support for typhoon and heavy rain victims in Gokseong, Jeonnam in 2020, and wildfire victims in Gyeongbuk and Gangwon in 2022.
Additionally, since 2023, Tefal has been producing 'Together Kit' composed of essential living supplies to share with neighbors in welfare blind spots, such as elderly living alone and young adults preparing for independence.
A Tefal representative said, "We extend our deepest condolences to the residents affected by the sudden heavy rain," and added, "We hope this support will be a small help to those in need, and we will continue to show interest and support for those in difficult situations."
