Korean Dramas and Entertainment Dubbed with AI... ESTsoft Selected for 'K-FAST Expansion Support Project'

[Financial News] ESTsoft supports the globalization of representative Korean dramas and entertainment programs through AI dubbing.
ESTsoft announced on the 20th that it has been selected as the implementing agency for the K-FAST project for the global expansion of K-content, and will begin AI dubbing for the overseas localization of popular domestic content such as Korean dramas and entertainment.
The K-FAST Expansion Support Project is a project prepared by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Information and Communication Promotion Association to establish a foundation for the global expansion of K-media and content by combining advertising-based free streaming TV and AI dubbing localization technology. This project, which is being promoted with a scale of 8 billion won, involves broadcasters and AI media technology companies.
ESTsoft has been selected as the lead agency for the AI dubbing specialized support project for the localization of K-content. The consortium, led by ESTsoft, consists of AI technology companies Supertone, Gaudio Lab, Stra, 4by4, and content media companies SBS, MBC, KBS, along with advertising-based streaming service companies K2NT and Smart Media Lab.
Collaborating companies include Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, which support TV platforms, and content provider partners such as KT ENA, Chorokbaem Media, and D'Live. Additionally, the AI language data and solution company Flitto is also involved. ESTsoft and Flitto signed a business agreement last June for the joint use of AI data and technology to promote the global expansion of K-content.
With this selection, the ESTsoft consortium will promote AI dubbing for 200 hours of K-content, including the Korean drama 'I'm Sorry, I Love You,' entertainment programs 'I Am Solo,' 'Along with the Gods Season 2,' and 'eSports League Highlights,' which represent Korea.
AI dubbing will be conducted through the global AI SaaS PERSO.ai operated by ESTsoft, and will be produced as localized K-content that enhances immersion by precisely implementing the speaker's tone and intonation as well as non-verbal expressions with advanced AI technology. The AI-dubbed content will be launched in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Mexico, and Singapore through four K-channels built by genre, including drama, entertainment, games, and travel.
ESTsoft plans to enhance the immersion of K-content to meet the demand of overseas viewers who prefer dubbing over subtitles with PERSO.ai's AI dubbing, thereby contributing to strengthening the global competitiveness of K-channels.
Furthermore, as the global FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) market is expected to grow to 12 billion dollars and 1.1 billion users by 2027, ESTsoft plans to strengthen its position in the global AI dubbing market by creating synergy with the K-FAST Expansion Support Project and PERSO.ai. In fact, 80% of PERSO.ai's users are overseas, and ESTsoft expects the K-FAST Expansion Support Project to greatly aid PERSO.ai's global growth.
