[Financial News] Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on the 20th that it conducted 'ESG Digital Health Medical Volunteer Service' using advanced healthcare technology.
This volunteer activity was conducted for 76 residents in medically underserved areas at the senior center in Daebunam-dong, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical, along with digital health companies such as △Seers Technology △Arc △Exosystems △Asleep △EverEx △MedicalAU, formed a medical volunteer group.
The volunteer activities utilized △AI blindness diagnosis solution 'Whiskey' and fundus camera 'Optina Genesis' △wearable ECG device 'MobiCare' △heart failure early diagnosis software 'ETIA LVSD' △sarcopenia analysis solution 'ExoMed-DeepSarc' △musculoskeletal analysis software 'Mora View' △sleep apnea diagnosis app 'AppnoTrack'.
The examination identified many with findings. The AI fundus examination showed suspicious findings of blindness risk diseases in about 40% of residents. In the sarcopenia test, about 48% were classified as suspicious/caution stage, recommending detailed examination. In the musculoskeletal test, about 65% showed posture alignment abnormalities, and customized exercises were guided on-site.
Cho Byeong-ha, head of Daewoong Pharmaceutical's digital healthcare division, said, "This is part of ESG management practice to realize a healthy world for everyone," and "We will continue to provide help to places with low medical accessibility through digital healthcare technology."
