[Financial News] The international development NGO 'Global Sharing Movement' is recruiting members for the 2nd term of 'MadecaPharmacia Global SolSol EcoChallengers' to nurture young leaders in environmental conservation.
Interested participants can apply through the Google Form on the Global Sharing Movement website by the 24th. The target is youth aged 19 to under 30, and this 2nd term of EcoChallengers will recruit 30 members. They will be selected through document evaluation and interviews.
In this 2nd term of EcoChallengers, conducted with the support of Dongguk Pharmaceutical, selected participants will start with an online orientation on the 28th and engage in team missions for 3 weeks to create environmental protection content by combining Dongguk Pharmaceutical's 'MadecaPharmacia' with biodiversity themes. Additionally, from September 19th, they will experience a 2-night, 3-day DMZ biodiversity field exploration and conservation activities, followed by presentations of outstanding ideas.
EcoChallengers is a project to promote corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and nurture activists in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with participants operating against the backdrop of the symbolic Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Graduates will receive an EcoChallengers certificate and recognition of volunteer hours, and outstanding participants will receive awards and bonus points for entry into Dongguk Pharmaceutical.
Kim Hye-gyeong, Chairperson of Global Sharing Movement, said, "This EcoChallengers is not just a simple experience, but a long-term program to help young people continuously practice environmental and sharing activities in their daily lives," adding, "It will be a valuable opportunity to directly feel and act on the meaning of environmental conservation in the special space of the DMZ."
The Global Sharing Movement, which holds special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), is conducting education, health, and regional development projects targeting vulnerable groups in developing countries such as Asia and Africa, and is also leading international development cooperation and youth talent nurturing in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
