"Leap to Global and Specialty"... Samyang Group Hosts First 'SAMYANG CONNECT'

[Financial News] Samyang Group announced on the 19th that it held '2025 SAMYANG CONNECT' at the Samyang Discovery Center in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, sharing first half results and discussing second half strategies.
This event was prepared for the first time this year as a group integrated event replacing the existing group meeting to strengthen communication between management and employees and share vision. Domestic and international employees participated both online and offline on site.
Kim Yoon, Chairman of Samyang Group, evaluated in his welcome speech that "although we did not achieve our management goals due to the worsening domestic and international business environment in the first half, we made meaningful achievements in the high-value specialty materials sector such as overseas engineering plastics business improvement and semiconductor and personal care."
He continued, "Although difficulties are expected to continue in the second half due to global economic uncertainties and complex international situations, opportunities always exist," emphasizing "let's prepare thoroughly and definitely achieve our annual goals."
Chairman Kim proposed expanding the specialty business based on advanced technologies such as semiconductors, batteries, and eco-friendly plastics as a future strategy. He emphasized the importance of "execution ability to quickly execute tasks and discover potential markets," urging a company-wide strategic shift.
In addition, he reiterated the execution of Samyang Group's three major management policies: △ Global and Specialty Portfolio Advancement △ Cash Flow-Centric Management △ Acceleration of Digital Transformation. Chairman Kim stated, "These policies must be internalized throughout the organization and reflected in all tasks."
Regarding the new Purpose system established last year on the occasion of Samyang Group's 100th anniversary, he encouraged employees' practice by saying, "The process of challenging without fear of failure is the starting point of Purpose internalization."
Finally, he mentioned, "Recently, large and small accidents are occurring across the industry," and "let's thoroughly adhere to basics and principles, strengthen safety rules and equipment inspections to prevent safety accidents."
