Taiwanese tourists flocked to Korea after the Jeonbuk travel product with the popular cheerleader Lee Dahye sold out, attracting over 150 tourists, the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 19th.
Currently active in Taiwan, Lee Dahye is the first cheerleader to debut overseas, gaining wide popularity as a singer in Taiwan and reaching the top spot as a popular YouTube creator.
Inspired by this, the Tourism Organization planned a product to travel with Lee Dahye to her hometown of Jeonju, Jeonbuk, which sold out through 'Kolla Tour', the travel agency with the highest sales of Korean products in Taiwan.
Through this, over 150 Taiwanese tourists visited Jeonju the previous day, enjoying various programs such as walking through Jeonju Hanok Village with Lee Dahye and experiencing making Jeonju Bibimbap.
Additionally, at the fan meeting event held at Daeseung Hanji Village in Wanju, various events such as learning baseball cheering moves and experiencing traditional Korean games were held.
Hosoo Young, head of the Taipei branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "With the sellout of this travel product, we were able to firmly imprint the charm of local tourism in Korea on the Taiwan visit market," and "We plan to introduce various travel products by combining specialized content with the tourism appeal of each region."
