[Financial News] Osstem Implant is focusing on education support through academic-industry cooperation to contribute to the cultivation of excellent domestic and international dentists.
According to Osstem Implant on the 19th, the 'Dental College Externship' education is being conducted for 5 domestic universities this year.
The education includes lectures on clinical papers and implant theories by the directors of Osstem Implant's Dental Research Institute and Tissue Regeneration Research Institute, as well as practical training in spaces similar to actual clinical environments, among other various contents.
Students at each university complete various education programs including fundamental surgical theories related to implants, surface treatment methods, impression taking, and implant surgery practice.
The course also includes opening systems hard to encounter at school, cutting-edge digital equipment and software education, and research lab tours, receiving positive responses from students.
This year's dental college externship was attended by students from Dankook University, Kyung Hee University, and Kyungpook National University in June and July, and students from Yonsei University (August 4th~18th) and Seoul National University (September 22nd~October 2nd) are scheduled to participate in August and September.
Osstem Implant is also expanding academic-industry cooperation with overseas universities, strengthening the global education foundation.
In May, a cooperation agreement was signed with the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, focusing on supporting dental education. According to the agreement, Osstem Implant will provide educational materials for practical training and hold special lectures by experts in the implant field for students.
Osstem Implant's academic-industry cooperation aims to provide better educational opportunities for future dentists, following the management philosophy of 'contributing to human health by helping dentists provide good treatment.'
Scholarships are also being donated to domestic and international dental schools to ensure dental college students can complete their studies stably. In Korea, the scholarship program started in 2003, and the number of 'Osstem Scholars' has exceeded 1300 during this period.
Osstem Implant plans to continue strengthening cooperation in various ways, such as developing various educational programs for future dentists in connection with universities.
