[Financial News] TYM has secured a contract to supply 650 tractors to the Philippine government. Following the supply of 1,220 units last year, they have achieved an accumulated performance of 35 billion won in the Philippine market alone with consecutive large-scale orders.
According to TYM on the 19th, this order is interpreted as a result showing that TYM has established itself as a key partner in the Philippine agricultural mechanization policy. Last month, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. directly delivered TYM tractors to farmers at a national event, further strengthening the cooperative relationship with the local government.
TYM is pursuing a strategy that goes beyond simple equipment supply to contribute to the development of local agriculture. They are operating joint educational programs with PHilMech, the dedicated agency for agricultural mechanization in the Philippines, providing internship opportunities, and accelerating the establishment of customized products and service infrastructure for the local market. Through this, they plan to build a co-growth model encompassing product localization and the nurturing of technical experts.
Kim Ho-gyeom, Head of TYM Global Business Division, said, “The consecutive large-scale orders in the Southeast Asian market are achievements based on differentiated competitiveness in a market long monopolized by global competitors like Japan,” adding, “We will further enhance the global growth momentum by strengthening products optimized for the local agricultural environment and the education and service infrastructure.”
