[Financial News] Due to the protest by the National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeon Jang Yeon), the subway train on Line 4 passed Myeongdong Station without stopping for 1 hour.
According to the Seoul Transportation Corporation and Jeon Jang Yeon on the 18th, Jeon Jang Yeon held a subway boarding protest on the Myeongdong Station platform from around 7:30 AM, confronting the corporation's support staff.
In response, the corporation allowed 18 trains on the up line and 16 trains on the down line to pass Myeongdong Station without stopping from around 8:32 AM.
Additionally, from around 9:27 AM, activists were forcibly evicted, and train operations resumed at around 9:32 AM, one hour after the non-stop passage.
The protest during rush hour caused significant inconvenience to citizens.
On X (formerly Twitter), voices of inconvenience continued, such as "I need to get off at Myeongdong Station, what should I do?" and "Because of the Jeon Jang Yeon protest, Myeongdong Station is non-stop, so I'm getting off at Hoehyeon and walking. I'll be late."
Jeon Jang Yeon plans to conduct a subway commute propaganda campaign every day from 7:30 AM starting today to urge the government to guarantee the budget for disability rights.
