[Financial News] Daedong announced on the 18th that it has launched the industry's first 6-row combine 'DH6135-A' equipped with harvest monitoring and 3-stage autonomous operation features.
DH6135-A allows checking the grain yield of each section of the harvested farmland through the combine monitor and the dedicated app 'Daedong Connect'. Especially, the app visualizes the data of each section in a color distribution map in grid forms of at least 5m×5m and up to 20m×20m, allowing intuitive understanding. Daedong plans to enhance the app by adding a year-on-year comparison feature to utilize it for precision agriculture planning, such as fertilizer and pesticide spraying, and soil improvement.
Additionally, this product can perform autonomous operations once it circles the perimeter of the farmland up to 3 times, with the harvest area and turning radius set. By selecting turning methods such as Alpha Turn or C Turn, the path is automatically set, and when the grain tank is full, it can automatically move to the designated location with the 'autonomous driving to unloading location' feature, allowing unloading without driving. If the combine deviates from the divided path during operation, the line shift function corrects the path in 5cm increments to minimize unharvested areas.
Internal test results show that it takes an average of 60 minutes to harvest a 4000㎡ rice field, with only 12 minutes of actual driving by the operator. Even when harvesting 33,000㎡ of rice fields over 8-9 hours a day, the actual driving time is only about 2 hours, significantly reducing work fatigue.
Lee Kwang-wook, head of Daedong's domestic business division, said, "The DH6135-A is a smart combine developed for agricultural sites facing difficulties due to aging and labor shortages," adding, "We will contribute to the sustainability and productivity improvement of agriculture with solutions that combine AI and precision agriculture technology."
Meanwhile, the DH6135-A is equipped with a 143-horsepower diesel engine, a 6-row cutting unit, and a 2000L grain tank. Its independent structure of the driving and cutting units allows it to respond to various environments (lodging and wet fields), and it is equipped with features such as 2 SPEED HST that can be shifted with a single button, ground response sensors, and front-rear and left-right automatic leveling control functions to enhance operational convenience and stability.
