[Financial News] President Lee Jaemyung watched the movie 'Independence Army: The Unfinished War' with citizens on the last day of the Liberation Day holiday, the 17th. First Lady Kim Hye-kyung also accompanied him.
President Lee watched the movie Independence Army with 119 citizens selected through a pre-application draw at the CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the same day.
Holding popcorn and cola, President Lee entered the theater, waved to the cheering audience, and shook hands with each of them.
After the movie ended, Mrs. Kim said, "I thought the movie would be very long, but it's short," and "It was very immersive."
Independence Army is a documentary film that follows the independence war scenes of General Hong Beom-do and traces the roots of the Republic of Korea Army. Actor Jo Jin-woong participated as a narrator.
At the scene that day, director Moon Seung-wook, actor Jo Jin-woong, actors Lee Ki-young and Ahn Jae-mo, comedian Seo Seung-man, Hong Beom-do Memorial Project Chairman Park Hong-geun, Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker, and Jeong Jong-min, CGV CEO, were also present.
President Lee told Jo Jin-woong, "I couldn't recognize you because your style changed," and asked CEO Jeong, "Did the audience increase because of the consumption coupons?"
