[Financial News] As housing sales sentiment rapidly contracts centered around Seoul and the capital region, the national consumer sentiment has returned to a flat phase after a month. It is interpreted that the buying sentiment has significantly weakened as the wait-and-see attitude spreads after the implementation of the 6·27 measures.
According to the 'July 2025 Real Estate Market Consumer Sentiment Survey' released by the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements on the 18th, the national housing sales consumer sentiment index was 110.5, down 13.8p from the previous month (124.3), turning from a rising phase to a flat phase. The real estate market consumer sentiment index ranges from 0 to 200, and if it exceeds 100, it means there are more respondents expecting price increases and transaction growth.
The capital region was 111.4, down 24.0p from the previous month (135.4), falling to a flat range, while the non-capital region was 109.1, down 2.2p, maintaining a flat trend. In particular, Seoul was 117.3, a sharp drop of 33.0p compared to the previous month (150.3), showing the largest decline among major areas.
The housing market (sales + jeonse) consumer sentiment index also fell to 106.0 nationwide, down 9.0p from the previous month (115.0), dropping to a flat range. The capital region was 106.8, down 15.7p, turning flat, and the non-capital region was 104.9, down 1.4p, continuing a flat trend.
The overall real estate market (housing + land) consumer sentiment index also turned weak. Nationwide, it was 103.7, down 8.4p from the previous month (112.1), staying in a flat range. The capital region was 104.7, down 14.7p, turning from a rising phase to flat, and the non-capital region was 102.5, down 1.4p.
The housing jeonse market consumer sentiment index was 101.5 nationwide, down 4.2p, continuing a flat trend. The capital region was 102.1, down 7.5p, and the non-capital region was 100.7, down 0.6p.
The land market consumer sentiment continued its downward trend. Nationwide, it was 83.0, down 2.8p, continuing a declining phase. The capital region was 85.8, down 5.9p, and the non-capital region was 81.0, down 1.6p.
