Is Lim Young-woong Strong? Fierce Competition in Broadcasting for 'Lim Young-woong'

Lim Young-woong is strong. In September 2023, the SBS entertainment show 'My Ugly Duckling' featuring Lim Young-woong recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 16.1%, achieving the highest performance of the year. This was 3.1% higher than the previous episode, and the highest viewership in the metropolitan area reached 18.9%. 

Also, the tvN entertainment show 'Three Meals a Day Light' aired last September also recorded a peak viewership of 14.7%, clearly showing the 'Lim Young-woong effect'. It's no wonder the broadcasting industry is desperate to feature Lim Young-woong. 

Singer Lim Young-woong is making a comeback on the 29th with his regular 2nd album 'I'm Hero 2' after 3 years and 2 months, and each broadcasting company is putting all their efforts into 'catching Lim Young-woong'. 


According to the broadcasting industry on the 17th, SBS has completed preparations for 'Lim Young-woong Magic' by casting Lim Young-woong in the newly scheduled travel entertainment show 'Island Bachelor Hero' starting on the 26th. Although Lim Young-woong has appeared on various programs since his debut in 2016, this is his first fixed appearance on an entertainment show.

Also, KBS 2TV music entertainment show 'Immortal Songs' has scheduled a 'Lim Young-woong and Friends' special over two weeks on the 30th and September 6th. The first part of the special will feature Lee Juck, No Brain, Jeon Jong-hyuk, and others, while the second part will feature Lyn, Roy Kim, Choi Yuree, and Jo Jazz, who will sing Lim Young-woong's songs in their own style.

JTBC sports entertainment show 'Let's Play Soccer 4' has also confirmed Lim Young-woong's second appearance. Lim Young-woong, who is 'sincere' about soccer, having played as a player in an amateur soccer league, appeared in 'Let's Play Soccer 3' last year and achieved a 4-0 victory against Coach Ahn Jung-hwan's 'Accidental New Avengers', drawing fans' attention to the revenge match that has been arranged after a year.
