[Financial News] Jeong Seong-ho, Minister of Justice, urged at his first meeting with heads of frontline agencies since taking office to focus on preventing heinous and motiveless crimes.
According to the Ministry of Justice on the 13th, Minister Jeong attended the meeting of agency heads and stated that protecting the lives and safety of the people should be the top priority. He also called for efforts to prevent crimes against and protect victims of social vulnerabilities such as stalking, child abuse, and domestic violence.
The meeting was attended by the heads of 97 protection agencies nationwide, including probation offices, juvenile detention centers, and youth delinquency prevention centers.
A Ministry of Justice official stated, "Based on the meeting of protection agency heads, we will review recidivism prevention measures tailored to the characteristics of crimes and implement effective crime prevention policies that the public can feel."
