Pastor Jeon held a press conference at Sarang Jeil Church in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 13th, stating, "Right-wing presidents close their mouths after being elected with our help," and "They don't even give a single call, so wouldn't I answer only if former President Yoon calls?"
Pastor Jeon acknowledged that the secretary of the administrator from the Civil Society Chief Office during former President Yoon's time visited Sarang Jeil Church several times. However, he only advised, and the advice was not conveyed, he drew a line.
He said, "I told the secretary of the administrator, 'Why does the president do politics like this? If you do this, you will surely be impeached,' but it seems it was not conveyed."
Previously, former administrator Seong Sam-young from the Civil Society Chief Office was embroiled in controversy when allegations arose that he requested mobilization of supporters from Shin Hye-sik, the operator of the YouTube channel 'Shinuihansu', during the execution of the arrest warrant for former President Yoon in January.
Pastor Jeon denied the question, "Have you ever been asked by the presidential office to gather supporters during the impeachment phase?" by waving his hand.
Pastor Jeon also revealed that he changed his mobile phone before the police conducted a search and seizure on the 5th. He said, "I have been searched and seized many times, so I don't use the same phone for more than 3 months," and "I habitually change phones," he conveyed.
He also refuted the claim that he provided deposit money to the defendants of the Western District Court disturbance incident and provided resources for activities to YouTubers. Pastor Jeon claimed, "I am a retired pastor, so I don't know much about financial matters and cannot interfere."
The police conducted a 12-hour search and seizure on the 5th against Pastor Jeon and 7 others, who were pointed out as the masterminds behind the Western District Court disturbance incident, to secure related evidence. They applied for a travel ban on all suspects and plan to summon the suspects sequentially as soon as the evidence analysis is completed.
