[Financial News] Naver announced on the 13th that it has officially launched an advertising incentive program for creators by establishing 'Clip Profile' in its short-form (short video) service Clip.
According to Naver, 'Clip Profile' is a new space where various contents of creators can be gathered in one place. It allows managing clip content, following, and followers that contain experiences and interests in one place. Also, when 'Clip Profile' is opened, existing content uploaded to Naver services is automatically linked.
'Clip Profile' supports a new 'Clip Post' format that allows posting with just images and text in addition to the short-form videos previously supported by Clip, allowing for various types of posts.
Naver also officially launches the 'Advertising Incentive Program', a revenue-sharing program that supports creators to continuously produce content in a stable creative environment.
With the full introduction of this program, which has been operated in beta form since last year, creators can upload short-breath review content and generate revenue based on views.
Starting from the 13th, Naver will reorganize the 'Today Here Clip' clip place review upload promotion, allowing anyone uploading content to Clips to receive various benefits. In addition, it supports creators through 'Shopping Connect', which shares revenue based on sales performance in partnership with Smart Store, and the 'Clip Creator School', an educational program that can enhance short-form content production and monetization capabilities.
Meanwhile, creators can check and manage various indicators of content through the newly updated 'Clip Creator' app. They can check and receive the settlement amount according to the advertising incentive program, which calculates revenue based on clip views, and check various statistics such as clip views, viewers, and follows.
Kim Ah-young, Naver Clip Leader, said, “With the establishment of this 'Clip Profile', we aim to organically connect the creator ecosystem across the platform and support monetization, allowing creators to continue creating,” and added, “From November, we plan to support creators active in the Clip ecosystem with more diverse monetization programs.”
