[Financial News] Sampyo Group is cooperating with Eunpyeong District Office to help youth preparing for independence build a self-reliant life.
Sampyo Group announced on the 12th that it will support the improvement of the housing environment for youth preparing for independence in cooperation with Eunpyeong District Office.
Youth preparing for independence generally start living alone in rental or old housing after leaving protective facilities. However, they express difficulties with basic home repairs or maintenance costs, such as replacing mold-stained wallpaper, flooring, insulation, and waterproofing.
The government operates a rental housing support system for initial settlement after leaving facilities and provides initial support items. However, social interest and support systems for housing situations thereafter are urgently needed.
In response, Sampyo Group decided to deliver a donation of 10 million won to improve the housing environment for youth preparing for independence who are in the blind spot of housing welfare, in cooperation with Eunpyeong District. The donation will be used for practical housing environment improvements, such as bathroom repairs and boiler replacements, targeting 10 youth preparing for independence.
Yoo Yong-jae, an executive director of Sampyo Group, said, "We hope that through this housing environment improvement support, youth preparing for independence can live in a more stable environment," and added, "We will continue to fulfill our role as a social safety net to ensure that youth preparing for independence can grow confidently as members of society without being isolated."
Kim Mi-kyung, the head of Eunpyeong District Office, said, "We will spare no effort in creating an environment where youth preparing for independence can harbor hope and realize their dreams together with the local community in the future."
