[Financial News] As more customers are converting their prepaid funeral funds into various life care services such as travel, wedding, and healthcare, 'travel' has emerged as the most chosen category.
According to Kyowon Life on the 12th, the number of customers who converted their funeral products into life care services from January to June this year increased by 17% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the proportion of travel conversions was 58%, with more than half of the converted customers choosing travel.
Kyowon Life, in collaboration with Kyowon Tour, which is responsible for the group's travel business, has expanded its exclusive travel products for members to over 40 items. With a wide range of lineups including Europe, America, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, golf, honeymoon, cruise, and themed travel, customers can design their trips according to their preferences and lifestyle.
The most popular travel destinations in the first half of the year were Bali (30%), Malaysia (15%), Western Mediterranean (14%), Western Europe (7%), and the Philippines (7%). Bali, Malaysia, and Western Europe remained at the top last year as well. By product type, honeymoon (31%) and package (25%) led over cruise (24%) and English camp (20%).
They are also strengthening conversion services other than travel. This year, they have partnered with L&K Wellness (spa), Ceragem (healthcare appliances), Studio Iris (remind wedding), Every Robot Mobility (electric wheelchair), Shinsegae Casa (furniture and interior), and Lotte Capital (long-term car rental).
A Kyowon Life representative said, “The high preference for travel is thanks to the industry's largest lineup of conversion travel products,” adding, “We will continue to enhance synergy with Kyowon Tour to allow customers to freely embark on their desired trips.”
