[Financial News] The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korean Emergency Medical Technician Association held a meeting to explore development directions for the emergency medical system.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that on the 11th, Jeong Tongryeong, Director of Public Health Policy, visited the Korean Emergency Medical Technician Association located in Cheongju, Chungbuk, to listen to the field suggestions of emergency medical technicians.
This visit was organized to explore development plans for the emergency medical system and to exchange opinions on current issues regarding the emergency medical technician system.
The Korean Emergency Medical Technician Association is a professional organization representing emergency medical technicians, responsible for continuing education aimed at improving the emergency medical technician system and enhancing job skills.
In particular, this meeting focused on discussions about the amendment to the 'Emergency Medical Services Act' set to be implemented in January 2026. This amendment includes a basis for designating universities for training first-class emergency medical technicians, making it an important occasion to hear the voices from the field for smooth implementation of the system.
Jeong Tongryeong, Director of Public Health Policy, expressed deep gratitude to the emergency medical technicians for their dedication in maintaining the emergency medical field amidst the prolonged emergency medical system, and promised to continue efforts for the development of the emergency medical technician system and improvement of the emergency medical system.
