[Financial News] Mrs. Kim Hye-kyung, spouse of President Lee Jae-myung, met with Mrs. Ngo Phuong Li, spouse of To Lam, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who is on a state visit to Korea, for a 45-minute conversation on the 11th, and then visited the National Museum of Korea together.
Mrs. Kim welcomed Mrs. Ngo Phuong Li, an art major and former director of the Cultural Arts Bureau of the state broadcaster, saying, "As a piano major, I have a great interest in cultural arts and wanted to meet you." Mrs. Ngo Phuong Li expressed her pleasure at the warm welcome and looked forward to expanding cultural arts cooperation between the two countries.
The two discussed human exchange and multicultural family issues. When Mrs. Ngo Phuong Li mentioned meeting Vietnamese women living in Korea the previous day, Mrs. Kim promised to continuously pay attention to ensuring that Vietnamese women and multicultural family children can settle stably in Korean society.
After the conversation, the two, guided by Director Yoo Hong-jun of the National Museum of Korea, viewed permanent exhibitions such as the Pensive Bodhisattva, Uigwe of the Oegyujanggak, White Porcelain Moon Jar, Gamsansa Buddha Statue, and the Ten-story Stone Pagoda of Gyeongcheonsa Temple. Mrs. Ngo Phuong Li was impressed by the serene smile of the Pensive Bodhisattva, and Mrs. Kim introduced it as a popular museum product.
When Mrs. Kim asked if the number of visitors increased due to the influence of the recent Netflix animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', Director Yoo replied, "On weekends, lines form an hour before opening, and there is about a 92% increase compared to the same period last year." Mrs. Ngo Phuong Li expressed her intention to revisit, saying, "I was able to directly feel the identity and value of K-Culture."
Finally, the two visited the museum's official goods store 'Muze Shop', looked at the products, and greeted citizens who visited the site. Mrs. Kim hoped to meet again, saying, "This meeting has become a great memory."
