[Financial News] Global household goods company Lock&Lock has signed a volunteer service MOU with the Mukhodong Community Welfare Council in Donghae City, Gangwon Province.
Lock&Lock announced on the 11th that it held a signing ceremony at the Mukhodong Administrative Welfare Center on the 7th, promising to donate its products and volunteer activities. This agreement is part of the social contribution program 'Courage with Lock&Lock', aiming to support vulnerable groups in the region and spread the culture of sharing.
Mukhodong was affected by a wildfire in 2022 but has since recovered and reemerged as a tourist destination. With over 46% of residents being elderly in this 'Aging in Place' area, Lock&Lock determined a high need for living support and pursued the agreement.
Under the agreement, Lock&Lock will donate household goods such as kimchi containers and conduct employee volunteer activities at the end of the year. Lee Jaeguk, the public committee chairman of the Mukhodong Community Welfare Council, said, "We are grateful for the generous support for vulnerable groups, and we will continue to maintain a cooperative relationship to support low-income families."
An Sung-il, Lock&Lock CHRO, said, "We are pleased to deliver warm courage to the beautiful Mukho area," and "We will fulfill our corporate social responsibility by developing various programs with the local community both domestically and internationally."
Meanwhile, Lock&Lock continues global social contribution activities such as supporting household goods for single-parent families, eco-friendly education, and disaster relief in Korea and Vietnam.
