[Financial News] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 11th that it will hold the '2025 Smart Construction Challenge' to discover and promote advanced smart construction technologies.
The Smart Construction Challenge is an event hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, where related public institutions share roles to host competitions in five categories: △Safety Management △Complexes and Housing △Roads △Railways △Building Information Modeling (BIM).
For each category, the best innovation award for one team includes a prize of 30 million won and the Minister's Award from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, while three teams will receive the Public Institution Director's Award and a prize of 10 million won each, totaling 300 million won.
The safety management category is themed around smart safety management technology, while the complexes and housing category will focus on AI-based smart construction technology.
The road category will focus on pre-manufacturing methods and smart construction equipment technology for the industrialization and automation of the construction industry, and the railway category will focus on AI and big data specialized for railways. The BIM category will focus on BIM utilization technology for building construction.
Technologies that receive the best innovation award will receive support such as △additional points when selected as a smart construction small business △priority support for field technology demonstration △support for public institution market development.
The winning technologies will be exhibited at the '2025 Smart Construction EXPO' held at KINTEX in Ilsan from November 5 to 7.
Companies wishing to participate in the Smart Construction Challenge can download the application form from the Smart Construction Challenge website from today until the 29th, fill it out, and submit it via email.
