[Financial News] KOSPI closed slightly lower due to foreign and institutional selling pressure.
On the 8th, according to the Korea Exchange, KOSPI closed at 3210.01, down 17.67p (0.55%) from the previous day. On this day, KOSPI started at 3220.58, down 7.10p (0.22%) from the previous day, and increased its decline during the session.
In the securities market, individuals net bought 204.8 billion won, while foreigners and institutions net sold 128.4 billion won and 158.4 billion won, respectively.
By industry, entertainment/culture (3.61%), food/beverages/tobacco (2.36%), and medical/precision instruments (1.60%) were strong, while electricity/gas (-4.69%), metals (-3.81%), and transportation equipment/parts (-1.70%) were weak.
Among the top market cap stocks, Samsung Electronics (1.84%), Doosan Enerbility (1.53%), and Celltrion (0.93%) showed an upward trend, while Hanwha Aerospace (-5.47%), NAVER (-2.55%), and SK Hynix (-2.10%) showed a downward trend.
