[Financial News] The police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 30s who stabbed an acquaintance to death with a weapon on a boulevard in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Seoul Mapo Police Station announced that they have requested an arrest warrant for Mr. A (in his 30s) on charges of murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing his acquaintance Mr. B (in his 30s) to death with a weapon on a boulevard near Mapo Tax Office in Daehyeong-dong, Mapo-gu, around 11 p.m. on the 6th.
The two were having a verbal argument while drinking at a nearby restaurant, and Mr. A left the restaurant, took out a weapon, and committed the crime, according to the investigation.
The police responded to the scene via radio and arrested Mr. A as a red-handed criminal.
Mr. B was taken to the hospital but died, and Mr. A was also injured during the crime and received hospital treatment.
The police are verifying Mr. A's claim of mental illness and are investigating the motive and circumstances of the crime.
