According to the police on the 8th, the Security Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency applied for an exit ban on Pastor Jeon to the Ministry of Justice last June. Since then, the police have extended the exit ban once, maintaining its effect until now.
In addition to Pastor Jeon, six others, including Shin Hye-sik, representative of the YouTube channel 'Shinui Hansu', Son Sang-dae, operator of 'Son Sang-dae TV', Bae In-gyu, representative of the New Men's Solidarity, and Kim Soo-yeol, representative of the conservative group 'Ilpamanpa', have also reportedly been banned from leaving the country.
Pastor Jeon is suspected of being behind the riot at the Seobu District Court. Previously, the Democratic Party of Korea filed a complaint with the police against Pastor Jeon in February for charges including incitement to rebellion and disturbance.
The police, who are intensifying their investigation into the Seobu District Court riot, conducted a search and seizure of Pastor Jeon's residence and Sarang Jeil Church on the 5th for charges including special building intrusion and obstruction of special official duties.
